History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. After coming to the age of reason, Shadow took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has never given up on his painting dream.
