He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Emerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has taken up work as a Detective and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
