History: He was raised by priests from a young age. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Berrian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized grey coat. His hair is red and very short. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady amber eyes.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. The war was a terrible time for him, and Pelaios does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Pelaios lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Marshal, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
