Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. His crest is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He has several tiny opal earrings on each ear.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Mugrunden's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. The war was a terrible time for him, and Mugrunden does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Mugrunden lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and to reunite with his absent father

Description: He wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with green lining and desert motifs. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He takes great joy in being the best Engraver in town.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His childhood dream was to be a Soapmaker, but he was a colossal failure. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Engraver.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

Description: A pudgy man standing about 3'3" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty tan coat over it. He is bald on top and has large golden tufts of hair around his ears. His fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: The light-skinned man stands 5'5" and wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with pastel colored cloaks and clothing. He wears his brown hair up in a very large beehive style do. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Orcs became a terror of the countryside. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and retire the richest man in the south

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and red, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His golden hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His eyes are gray and catlike.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Barrister. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
