History: Gruk hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
