Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bricklayer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Courier, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hubert does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
