History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. Shifting was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Raer's homeland. Raer decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
