History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His black hair is smooth and relatively long. His eyes are brown and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. Gardain enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Gardain was born with his father's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To protect his home; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mormo grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mormo. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Damakos hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Damakos alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Navigator. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he wants to get laid
