History: Sark lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 48. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Srorthen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
