Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his painting with anyone who is interested.

History: He was born in the east. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears a tattered pair of loose yellow pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs. His white hair has been sun bleached extensively. His eyes are green.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Halflings. His skin is dark but he possesses many brown ritualistic tattoos. He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He is bald on top and has large red tufts of hair around his ears. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bucklal embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He was born in the north. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a black costume with the symbols of strength on his torso. His red hair is singed and shortened. His green eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker black hat.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. A true patriot, Gilthur would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Unemployed and was forced into it by his family.

Description: He wears a brown feathered hat and brown clothes, and carries kukris. He has a brown handlebar mustache and slicked back brown hair. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Born in the west to a Layabout, Chay learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He became a Layabout soon after.

Motivation: To protect his home; and sabotage a competitor
