History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Navigator they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Tanner, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Richard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
