History: He got into the Map Maker business at a young age. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Vondal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Vondal was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Detective. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions
