History: Therai was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His childhood dream was to be a Glassblower, but he was a colossal failure. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he is unsatisfied with his job
