History: He was raised in a forest tribe. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. After a long history of fighting, Mormog and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac.

He wears a feathered hat to hide his balding. His eyes are likewise red.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many dire rats want him driven away

History: He was born in a small forest village. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Through the years after Kaladan was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Kaladan's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
