History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.
