History: Born in the east to a Painter, Mantus learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Painter. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Charles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Charles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
