History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it.
