History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Mord abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. During his travels, Mord and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Mord discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Mord fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mindartis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Nordak lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.
