History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Ur-Lisak was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Cartwright. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
