Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
