History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jak grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jak. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Cairn hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he's looking for his big break

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and sabotage a competitor
