History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the west were limited. After a long history of fighting, Manfred and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kaladan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kaladan. He has never given up on his writing dream.
