History: Raer hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the east were limited. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
