Description: An older man who is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest, he is not a threatening figure. He has styled his white hair well, parting it to the right. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his silver eyes.

Personality: Sammal speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Ploughman but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Sammal hails from a village terrorized by giants. Through the years after Sammal was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Sammal's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He is a Slaad in disguise. Varis liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
