Personality: Dûgza wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Warlock, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Layabout kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting giants, the young Barendd began to lead the lost caravan. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
