Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: The child of a Stableman, who enjoyed hunting, Nithther was taken on many hunting expeditions. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.
