History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

After months of barely getting by, Medrash managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
