He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Cairn was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Born in the east to a Bricklayer, Everard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Everard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Everard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
