After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Raymond was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Raymond's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.
