He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: To protect his home; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature dagger.

Description: He is scrawny and has patchy silver stubble. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized black coat. He has a hunchback. His silver hair is still thick. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Peren began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Peren was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against gnolls
