History: He was raised in a desert tribe. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Therai alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Therai was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: Born in the west to a Map Maker, Dain learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody.
