History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aura was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
