History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
