He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Cartwright. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Baern was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
