History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Balam was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: He was born into a rich family. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he feels kind of lost in life

History: He got into the Mortician business at a young age.
