History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Cory was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. The war was a terrible time for him, and Alston does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Alston's homeland. Alston decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
