History: Ortegar hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Ploughman they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Baker, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
