He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Bertram was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Bertram's homeland. Bertram decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
