Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with painting. He constantly tries to fill his life with painting. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shield use. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Alston was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
