History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Right-Handed hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Right-Handed alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and many illithids want him driven away

History: He got into the Mason business at a young age. A freak accident while working with his Bookbinder father left him crippled. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Mason and occasionally as a mercenary.

History: Gerard hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many gnolls want him driven away

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and his religion dominates his actions
