When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bounty Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

Personality: Alston is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.
