History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Valafar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Dyer, but he got bored and became a Server. He has taken up work as a Server and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a rival would like him out of the picture

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and to share knowledge with the world
