History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Hagren never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has decided he is irredeemable
