History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Halander was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Bookbinder. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
