History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tieflings in Oriax's homeland. Oriax decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Oriax fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Guard. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
