Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Sapply fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: Zaffrab hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Zaffrab alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
