When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

His beard is red, braided, and well cared for. His blue eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Bertram was born with his mother's beautiful face. His childhood dream was to be a Spice Merchant, but he was a colossal failure. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He now mingles about in high society.
