Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Chay fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Umpen was born the youngest of three triplets. When Umpen reached his early adolescence his Gnome mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
