History: Kaladan lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Kaladan was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Layabout. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.
