History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Purban never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Through the years after Rangrim was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Rangrim's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Rangrim and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy
